Morey's Piers 50th Season 2019 + NEW rollercoaster

Updated: Jul 26, 2019

On Saturday we had the opportunity to visit Morey's Piers in Wildwood with some amazing local blogger friends and their families. We were accompanied by Tiffany from www.thequirkymomnextdoor.com and Liz from www.southjerseyfamily.com and we all had a blast! I love going down every summer but this time around sharing the experience was even better. It was even their first time going!

This year I was extremely excited as it is their 50th season and they have a new roller-coaster!!! This new ride is set to open sometime very soon as they are putting the finishing touches on it. The Runaway Tram is a family friendly roller-coaster will have the kiddos lining up to ride again and again!

Ride details to know before you go: Location: Morey's Piers has three fun filled piers (Surfside, Mariners Landing and Adventure Peir) The Runaway Tram is located on Surfside Peir. Cost: 7 tickets per guest unless of course you purchase an all day pass. Be sure to check their website for deals! Height Requirements: Each guest needs to be 48 inches in height or accompanied by an adult Ride Features: The Runaway Tram features one train with multiple two-person passenger cars. It starts by climbing 40 feet before twisting and turning through a 922 foot track with an average speed of 28MPH.

But that's not all that's happening this summer at Morey's Piers, another one of our favorite spots, The Pigdog Beach Bar has a whole summer concert series on their stage right on the beach (most show times start around 5pm). We loved the vibe here. Its such a fun place with delicious food, great drinks and an even better atmosphere! Relaxing in the hammocks, feeling the ocean breeze with a refreshing drink made the whole experience even better.

Morey's Peirs also holds several events throughout the summer and into October. This week they have a Battle on the beach flag football tournament plus many other different types of events. I would suggest looking on their EVENT page for a full list so you can plan your trip accordingly.

There's lots to see and do during your trip to Wildwood from staying, walking the boards, riding the amusement park rides, visiting the waterparks, eating delicious food or going to one of the many events Morey's has you covered on all the must haves!
