MUST do things in Ocean City New Jersey

Updated: Feb 28, 2019

Heading to the New Jersey Shore?

We love Ocean City! Its a great family town to visit when planning a trip to the New Jersey Shore, whether you are going to Wildwood, Cape May or Ocean City, there is so much fun to be had. One of our favorite spots is Ocean City, NJ mostly because we have so many memories there. Our first house and our daughter was born here, so it hold a special place in my heart. Not to mention one of the top family destination in New jersey. They have been awarded Top Beach, Top Boardwalk and many other Awards you can view HERE.

There’s some must do’s while you are there! The beach and boardwalk would be the first place to check out. There’s all sorts of little boutique shops, food and amusement rides. The best part the beach is literally right there. You can go put your toes in the sand, soak up some sun and then go out for some food. In my opinion there’s nothing like a slice of Manco & Manco pizza.

Another favorite spot in Ocean City is Jilly’s Arcade.

Jilly’s Arcade has a great selection of new and retro games such as pin ball machines,  racing games and our favorite the 10 cent skeeball. They also have quarter rides for the little kids, claw machines and if you get the chance Jilly’s has a stand in the front with some of the best lemonade on the boardwalk.

Let’s not forget a trip to the candy store!

New Jersey is known for their Salt Water Taffy. I did not know how good it really was until I moved here. Ocean city’s own Shrivers on 9th street has been there since 1898, they have a variety of fudge and saltwater taffy made in house. If you find yourself at Shrivers, they have a window in the back where you can see exactly how they make their Saltwater Taffy.

There are quite a lot of things to do in Ocean City.

From places to shop and eat on the boardwalk and throughout town to lots of amusement rides such as Playland’s Castaway Cove, Gillian’s Wonderland pier and OC Waterpark or you can also just have a relaxing day at the beach. Visiting Ocean City is always so much fun and these just happen to be some of our favorite spots and I’m sure you will love them too!
